CESEL have thrown their heart and soul into developing a new community facility for the residents of Kelso and local social enterprise sector, the building which they acquired in August 2007 is part of the Border Ice Rink in Kelso and used to be the Abbotseat public bar and skittle alley up until it's closure in 2005.
The new name for the building is the ACE Centre which stands for Abbotseat Community Enterprise and the projects within the building are run in partnership with Parent to Parent (Borders) a local Charity that supports families caring for a child or young person with additional needs.
The Facility comprises of a community cafe, a soft play area, serviced offices and meeting rooms, a small conference facility or function room and a gym. Internet access, Sky TV, Nintendo Wii and a pool table are all there, with catering and crèche available for any occasion.

Abbey Soft Play Area....
From small beginnings in the Knows car park this Parent to Parent (Borders) project has grown and grown and is now Bigger, Better and Brighter than ever!!!! There's loads of fun and games for children of all abilities.
The ACE Centre is fully equipped with everything you'll need for your wee ones including baby changing facilities in the toilets, high chairs, bibs and wipes and a specially designed kids menu in the Cafe.
The Gym...
Being tested out here by some of our younger members, the gym is open to everyone and we hope you'll come and give it a try too.
Membership costs are:
£10 per year for under 18 year olds
£20 per year for adults over 18 years old
£25 per year Special Rate For Childminders
Family Membership is for all activities at the ACE Centre including the Soft Play Area & the Gym
Cost: £38 per year for two adults and up to 4 children
Special £5 Visitors Family Membership, lasts for one month
FREE membership to anyone under 1 and over 80 or anyone who has additional needs.
Sessions cost £1 for members and £2.50 for non members and can last as long as you can keep going....
